U11 Players

U11 Division Info

The season runs from early April until the end of June. The South Vancouver Island (SVI) Minor Fastpitch Association U11 Division has two tiers, U11 Tier 1 and U11 Tier 2. U11 Tier 1 is generally for 2nd year and experienced players while U11 Tier 2 focuses on 1st year and brand new players and uses Coach pitch for part of the season.

In 2025, Cordova Bay Fastball plans to offer U11 Tier 1 & U11 Tier 2.

Schedule

In U11, there are 1-2 regular-season games per week. League games are usually on Saturdays at 11am-1pm or 1-3pm and/or Tuesday evenings.

There are 1-2 practices per week and are usually held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, depending on the game schedules.  .

U11 teams will be given a schedule from SVI that runs from mid-April until U11 Districts near the end of June.

Age Requirements

In Spring 2025, U11 Fastball is for players born in 2014 and 2015.

Assessments

Assessments may be required depending on registration numbers.

Team Selection

For U11 we will make every effort to accommodate any friend or coaching request, but no guarantees can be made.

Uniforms

Players will receive a team uniform shirt, black ball pants and a hat (new players only) that they will wear for games.  There is a $50 Uniform deposit to be paid via cash or cheque on Uniform Pick-up Day.

Equipment

Required equipment:

• glove
• batting helmet with a strap and cage (recommended)
• cleats (recommended, but not mandatory, baseball or soccer cleats are fine)
• infield face guard

Please ensure that you mark the player's name on everything. A white label or masking tape works well on the outside of the batting helmet and handwritten on labels in shirts, glove and hats
